Elemis FreshSkin Skin Glow Exfoliating Face Wash

Yet another little beauty from the awesome bag of tricks Helen sorted for us at the JulyLondonMeetup. I'd been hearing a variety of bloggers rave about Elemis products, including Helen, and had put the brand on my to try list for the future. I was incredibly grateful to see this little fuchsia tube in the goodie bag as it is always nice to get a feel for a brand before forking out your hard earned cash on them.
The Elemis Freshskin range was created as a sister range to the original Elemis skincare. Aimed at teenagers and those in their early twenties (which I only just qualify for), it is milder than the original range - obviously taking into consideration that the target audience may suffer from acne or sensitive skin as is usual at their age.
This is the 30ml sample sized tube - the full size is 100ml and currently retails for around £12. The squeezy tube packaging is something we are familiar with and makes it easy to dispense the product. I love the colour of the tube, it really stands out which would make it easy to spot on the shelves. Containing cherry powder and jojoba beads (an ingredient you are likely to find in many exfoliating products), this product aims to 'gently polish and help refine skin texture.' It is also 'enriched with mandarin and aniseed to soften and condition leaving skin clear, brightened and more radiant.'
I have been using this on and off for a while now, amongst other products. The fragrance is absolutely amazing which you would expect considering the ingredients and I did feel that this product helped soften my skin to some extent - late nights and early mornings have been causing havoc with my skin the past few weeks with pimples and dry, flaky skin popping up everywhere. This product sought to soothe these problems and left my skin feeling soft to the touch.  Whilst this is deemed a face wash, I would liken it more to a scrub and this one is quite gritty - you may recall me saying that I much prefer grittier scrubs and this one is gritty whilst still remaining mild.
Would I repurchase this again? I'm unsure. Whilst it is a decent  face wash/scrub, I currently have far too many in my stash and have found some just as good for a cheaper price point. However, I will definitely be checking out what other products Elemis have to offer.
You can buy the 100ml tube for £12 on Feel Unique here with free delivery.

  2. This sounds so lovely, I never really want to spend too much money on face washes, but I think I'll have a look at the rest of the Elemis range because I've always wanted to give something a try!
